Hello to all of you!
Well, its Tues, and I got on that dang scale this am after being very good for days and it hasnt budged so I am thinking its time to mix it up here and get the scale moving downward again. Many of you know that I have been following Weight Watchers plan since Dec with my sister and have done very well so far, however, I am going to kind of implement a bit of what I know from BFC and start paying closer attention to sugars & carbs and see it that shakes it up a bit and gets me in losing mode again. I feel very frustrated this month because I really wanted to be closer to 189 before my cruise in 2 1/2 weeks and so far I havent moved too far from 197 this month. I went to the gym on Sunday and did the elliptical for 40 minutes and am paying for it these past 2 days with a flare up of the achilles tendonitis. I am thinking the elliptical is not "achilles friendly" for me anymore which really bums me out. I would give anything to not have it but I know there are others out there who have worse things going on so I wont complain. I am blessed to get out of bed each day, for the most part I really have no major health issues to contend with other than a bit of depression & hypothyroidism. So I am counting my blessings.
So far today, I have had 1/2 c egg beaters (0/0), 1 1/2 oz chopped ham (0/0), 1 oz light cheddar cheese (0/0) made into an omelette and 2 slices of Trader Joes sprouted wheat bread toasted (0/1 for 2 slices) I also had coffee with cream and 1 c. unsweetened chocolate almond milk (0/0) . Im thinking about a turkey wrap for lunch and not sure what else....Im not too hungry so thats pretty good.
Well gals, have a great Tuesday.....and keep on keepin on!
Sherri
Hi Sherri, I know you are feeling kind of down w/the no loss, but maybe you are right about mixing it up. A ways in the BFC I realized that I still need to watch the calories also. I check the labels for carbs and sugar but also the calories.
ReplyDeleteRemember that we are all different. What works for some, may not work for all.
Do what is good for your body.
Have a great day. :-)
Yes, I agree with Rosalie about taking another look at some of the labels for calories as well. Like sometimes you could possibly not even be eating enough food calorie wise. I read an article that said women require at least 1200 calories and if they don't get that amount there bodies will hold onto what little they ate, because that is the point of starvation mode. I may not know exactly what I am talking about, or maybe you know what I mean, since your a nurse. :) Have you heard people say this before? Sounds like your breakfast was good. Maybe if you want or have time, when you blog post what your eating and maybe everyone can help with giving you ideas. That is what I most like about blogging about my food diary, because someone might know something about a brand I ate, that I might not have know you could have, etc. But ya know some weeks we just won't lose weight but that is okay too. You have down great so far!!! So never give up girl. And no matter what, you have a wonderful time on that cruise!!! Have fun for me, I would love to be going on a cruise right now.
ReplyDeleteA lot goes into this weight losing business, such as; probiotics, amount of fluid intake, eating at a certain time, not eating past a certain time, OMG, by the time a year goes by we should be quite knowledgeable what is working and what is not working for us. I am giving myself a year for my body to catch onto all these tactics. I've stayed within a pound or three all month (January, up and down, and it's a bit frustrating. The worst part is we set goals, yours for your cruise, mine was just by the end of January (10 aren't coming off that fast)so I'm not making it either. When I was having Achilles tendentious I started to sleep with socks on at night, so my foot would stay warm, and that helped a lot, also getting 20 pounds lighter helped more I think. Never feel it much anymore, but I do remember trying to do the Elliptical once when it was bad. THAT HURT! Try wearing warm socks for a few weeks Sherri, and see if that helps your tendon heal up at all. We just need to keep charging up the hill Sherri, and be in it for the long haul:) I want to go on a cruise, but I don't know where I feel like going! My Mom's friend wants to go to the Panama Canal. Heard it's a good one. Take Care!
